Lawrence Swim Club
2024/2025 Membership Open on Swim Central
Swimming is Australia’s favourite sport. Lawrence Swim Club provides swimmers and their families an opportunity to have fun, be active, make friends, be introduced to racing, improve their personal best times, and register for competitive events available in the region.
Lawrence Swim Club holds our race nights on the first Wednesday of the month * commencing September. External events can be viewed in the events calendar in swim central.
New members can come and have a free trial with Lawrence Swim Club, but you must follow the same steps as if you were to “purchase” a membership in order to sign up for Club Night.
A parent/guardian must also hold a FREE membership with Lawrence Swim Club.

Types of Memberships
Swimming Queensland have adjusted membership categories this season to better capture our swimmers.
- National Swimmer
- Youth Swimmer
- Junior Swimmer
- Recreational Swimmer
National Swimmer
This category applies to those competitive swimmers, aged 10 years or older (as at 1 June), who intend to compete at a National Championships (e.g. National Open Water, National Age Championships, National Open Championships, Australian Trials etc.). Swimmers can transfer into this membership throughout the season if required.
Youth Swimmer
This category applies to those competitive swimmers, aged 10 years or older (as at 1 June), who intend to compete at meets from inter club, up to and including State Championships.
Junior Swimmer
This category applies to those swimmers who are 9 years of age or younger (as at 1 June), and are at any level of their swimming journey (e.g. training and club nights only, or competing at inter club and regional meets).
Recreational Swimmer
This category applies to any swimmer who wishes to only participate within their own club's environment (e.g. training and club nights) and doesn't wish to attend any inter club meets.
The following membership categories will continue in the 24/25 season:
- Coach a membership for accredited coaches, if they wish to be a member of the club.
- Accredited Technical Official a free membership for all Accredited Technical Officials.
- Parent a free membership for parents of swimmers with the club.
- Non-Swimmer a membership for someone who doesn't fit into the above categories but still wishes to be a non swimming member of the club.
- Come n Try Swimmer an automatically expiring trial membership available for brand new swimmers, of any age, to trial intra-club activities (e.g. training and club nights); valid for 30 days from purchase.
- Second Claim Swimmer a free membership that allows a swimmer, registered with a SQ club, to be a member of a second club, in a recreational capacity (training and club nights only).

Official membership season runs from 1st July to 30th June
2.
New swimmers may trial our Club night by signing up for the Come Try Free membership

Come Try Swimmers will still need to register via swim central for events at our Club night

A cut off applies to Club night, swimmers must be registered by Monday 11:55pm before the Wednesday event
What is Swim Central
Swim Central is the national operating system for clubs and members. The online portal links interactions with swimming including the swimming club, region, Swimming QLD and Swimming Australia.
Importantly the online portal enables you to purchase membership for Lawrence Swim Club swimming club and register for external events in the region.
New to Swim Central
A parent/guardian needs to register using a unique email address. Everyone under 18 years of age are added to a parents family group as a dependent.
How to Purchase a Membership
- Sign into Swim Central or Register for a New Account
- Select and unlock the padlock by entering your family pin
- From the menu option select store, select memberships
- Type Lawrence Swim Club, in Find A Club Field
- Select the member’s name and the relevant membership product
- Remember to change the name of the person you are purchasing for when adding additional products to your cart
- Checkout, click T&C and continue to Payment Method
- You must proceed to payment even for a FREE product
How to Purchase a Membership
Sign into Swim Central
Select and unlock the padlock by entering your family pin
Select Events, select a date from the calendar, view event
Select Entries tab to navigate to list of eligible entries
Add Entries for all available swimmers
Check shopping cart and proceed to payment
