Holiday Programs
Holiday Intensive Programs
Holiday programs can be an excellent way to introduce, practice and master skills in the aquatic environment. They can also be a fantastic way to fast-track learning as skill acquisition can be faster when attending multiple sessions per week.
Our holiday programs are scheduled to run during the school holidays. These are offered over multiple days depending on availability of the centre, staff or holiday periods.
Laurie Lawrence Swim School offers a FREE HOLIDAY INTENSIVE every September school holidays. This no obligations, community service is a popular program and bookings fill up quickly.
Holiday Swim Clinics
Clinics are specifically designed to focus on specific aquatic skills within a session. Time frames can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the skill taught and swimmers age and ability. Examples of swim clinics scheduled throughout the year are Dive Clinics, Race Preparation Clinics, Water Safety Clinics, Laurie’s Philosophy for Infant Swimming and Open Water Clinics.
Specialised Curriculum
Our curriculum follows a building block approach. Instructors will teach to the Laurie Lawrence Swim School specific curriculum.
Holiday programs and clinics may deviate from specific skills and drills taught in our swimming levels depending on the goals for the specific program.

Teaching Points
Our engaging and empathetic instructors will use a variety of teaching tools such as lesson planning, verbal and visual instruction, demonstration, circuit style, wave formation, physical manipulation, exploration, maximum practice time, positive praise and constructive feedback.
We schedule these programs so that swimmers can learn additional skills or improve on specific parts of their swimming journey. It is important to us that our swimmers improve – we can use Intensives and clinics as a means to achieve this.
Swimmers attend lessons as scheduled. Swimmers may not have their regular weekly teacher during these specialised classes.
